RIAGC monitors proposals that might affect the building construction industry as they come before the Rhode Island General Assembly. Appropriate action is taken to support or oppose certain proposals. Rhode Island was the first sate to require the OSHA 10-hour training course for all on-site crafts workers on public projects in excess of $100,000. This helps to ensure that irresponsible employers are not eligible to successfully bid and complete public work.
