Among the RIAGC’s activities are its sponsorship of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC), a group formed to facilitate professional development, networking, the building of social relationships and the exchange of ideas among early- and mid-career construction professionals. The CLC, part of a nationwide network of AGC Chapter-sponsored organizations, offers a wonderful opportunity for these professionals to develop value for themselves, their employer, their community and the industry. The RIAGC-CLC focuses on developing leadership skills through community service, continuing education and support of the Rhode Island chapter. It is open to all early- and mid-career construction professionals endorsed by their RIAGC-member companies. Among other activities, the RIAGC-CLC collaborates with similar construction industry-related groups such as the Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) of the American Institute of Architects of Rhode Island (AIARI) and the R.I. Construction Specifications Institute on educational, social and volunteer events such as Rebuilding Together (previously known as Christmas in April) and Canstruction.
