About

The Rhode Island Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, (RIAGC) is a construction industry trade association established in 1931. For more than 85 years, RIAGC has served as the voice of the state’s commercial building industry. Founded in 1923, just five years after the national organization was formed, the RIAGC is one of a nationwide network of chapters charted by the Associated General Contractors of America.

RIAGC promotes the interests of our members by means of construction workforce development, advocacy, safety training, professional education, positive labor-contractor relations, collective bargaining, and peer recognition.  We represent the state’s leading general contractors, construction managers, specialty contractors, suppliers and service providers that construct a majority of the corporate, institutional and public projects in southeastern New England.  Our diverse regular membership is composed of the principal industrial and commercial Construction Managers and General Contractors in Rhode Island.

RIAGC and AGC offer a variety of professional development and training programs as well as representation for its members and associate members on construction industry issues. Membership in the RIAGC provides the opportunity to participate in addressing the challenges and opportunities presented by the political, legal, and regulatory entities that intersect with the construction industry.
